muy sabrosa in santa fe
October 20th, 2008

Say no to the Southwestern fast food restaurants that serve up burnt beans and boring salsas, and learn how to prepare the cuisine yourself. Santa Fe’s Inn on the Alameda has teamed up with the Santa Fe School of Cooking to create the very tempting Muy Sabrosa package. Meaning “very tasty,” the Inn’s culinary package includes a 2 ½ hour class of exceptional recipes, professional instruction, and a complete demonstration of the menu, followed by the savory lunch prepared just moments before!
Choose from a variety of tantalizing classes which reflect the unique cultural mix of Santa Fe, with menus of traditional New Mexican, Native American, Mexican, Spanish, vegetarian and contemporary Southwestern cuisine. Stay at the authentic Inn on the Alameda (right off Canyon Road) for two nights and enjoying the charming inn’s own delicious offerings – the kitchen’s green chile croissants have made quite a few impressions on discerning gourmands. And if guests aren’t completely satiated by all the tastes and tidbits had by then, the package provides a $40 gift certificate to Mucho Gusto, a cozy little Mexican café located right next door to the Inn.
Getting hungry yet? Here are some other ideas to whet your palate: Roasted Pepper Quesadillas with Goat Cheese, Sautéed Shrimp with Orange-Chipotle Honey Mustard Sauce, Meatballs with Romesco Sauce, and Apricot Empanaditas… Yum.
