family time by the pool doesn’t have to be local
August 9th, 2010
Indagare.com just released their list of favorite indoor and outdoor pools for travelling families. Three of our Park Hyatt properties topped the list! Take a look at their fabulous details, and a few more of our personal favorite pools from around the world.
Indgare.com’s Picks:
Boasting the best pool area in the city, Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires features a large, indoor pool that is available to guests all year. The pool, which is 82 feet long and surrounded by soothing natural toned marble, is a great way to keep kids entertained or for couples to unwind after a busy day in the capital.
The stunning Park Hyatt Istanbul – Maçka Palas has a great rooftop pool and lounge area overlooking the historic Macka Palace in the chic Nisantasi shopping area. The free-form pool is surrounded by a private garden and offers a unique way to take in the view while also taking getting a tan in the hot Istanbul summer sun. Another added bonus, the pool bar and restaurant serves a variety of beverages, cocktails and food options all day.
Washington, D.C. is home to the Capital, Washington Monument, the White House and the Park Hyatt Washington indoor pool. The pool is surrounded by a large skylight that offers uninterrupted views of the area. Quiz the kids about what they learned saw in the Smithsonian while playing categories.
Our Picks:
Another showstopper is Grand Hyatt Tokyo’s 40-foot outdoor heated swimming pool on the top-floor of the hotel. Making it stand out from the rest of contenders, the pool is made of unique red granite and is surrounded by a hardwood deck, whirlpool and relaxation area. This pool is reason enough to visit Tokyo.
Parrot Cay in the Turks & Caicos might first bring to mind beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, but don’t forget about the pool! The Beach Houses and Villas all feature private sundecks with a stunning pool. No more having to worry about the kids splashing strangers, these pools offer a great escape from all that salt water.
If something a little more private has your attention, then don’t miss Anantara Phuket Resort & Spa in Mai Khao Beach, Thailand. The hotel has 83 private pool villas that are surrounded by Bill Bensley-designed gardens of jasmine, orchids and birds of paradise. And these outdoor pools are refreshing all-year long.
Families of all ages can always enjoy a little playtime in the water while travelling, and all of these pools offer a little extra to complement the cannonballs.
