these brews have a lotta seoul

May 17th, 2011

Here’s a tea party everyone can agree on—rather than dump tea in a harbor, The Lounge at Park Hyatt Seoul has instead decided to present a daily special Korean Afternoon Tea Set. Guests can enjoy a variety of teas brewed in double-layered tea pots created especially for Park Hyatt Seoul by ceramicist Sang Jong Yoon. Harvested by widely acclaimed tea makers, on offer are six kinds of green tea and seven kinds of wild tea, including Sim-bi-myung, Gwi-jeon-woo, Am Tea, Pine Mushroom Tea, and more.

The Lounge, located on the 24th floor of the hotel, boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning panoramic views. Take in the city while learning how the flavor and aroma of the tea are shaped by the maturity of the leaves at the time of their harvest, and even by the type and weight of the water in which it is brewed. In addition, assorted Korean sweets presented in a traditional wooden box will also be served.

Served 2:30 – 5:30 pm daily at The Lounge.

Price: KRW28,000 per person
