detox at anantara bophut on koh samui

March 15th, 2012

With temperatures rising, spring is just around the corner and people are starting to lose those extra layers of clothing. While happy to put that winter coat back into storage, maybe you’re not quite ready for that itsy-bitsy bikini. Really, all that is needed is a little detox, so why not pick a spring break locale that will have you looking and feeling great!

Recently, the Huffington Post featured Tablet Hotels’ Top 10 Hotels for Detoxing – and our favorite from the list was Anantara Bophut Resort & Spa on Koh Samui in the Gulf of Thailand. Located on a tranquil stretch of sand on one of the most stunning islands in Southeast Asia, this resort is the ultimate place to recharge the body, mind, and soul. Get the heart rate up with yoga or Thai boxing classes, followed by unwind time at the Anantara Spa with their signature treatment, the Culture of Anantara, which includes 180 glorious minutes of massage given by two therapists who will be sure to work out any kinks before polishing and smoothing the skin with a clay sea salt scrub. The final stage of the treatment is a Mud Steam Bath, which will leave the skin looking and feeling better than ever.

tea time

June 28th, 2011

“There is no trouble so great or grave that cannot be much diminished by a nice cup of tea,” 19th-century philosopher Bernard Paul-Heroux once said. No one understands this sentiment better than world-renowned tea makers Dilmah, which has recently launched its range of sixteen new teas at Anantara Bophut Resort & Spa on the island of Koh Samui. The launch coincided with the introduction of the resort’s latest contemporary menu that infuses the tea products into its new food and cocktail selections. Guests will be tempted by the latest selection of Dilmah’s black, green, and infused teas, and will also have the chance to extend tea time into the evening hours with tea-inspired cocktails such as the Anantara signature Endless Mar-T-ni and the Earl Grey Cocktail.

Pinkies up!

new name, new look

Anantara Bophut

Anantara Bophut Resort & Spa has exciting changes in the air! Formerly Anantara Koh Samui, the new name isn’t the only thing new going on. In January, the resort will have 20 additional executive suites and villas available for guests seeking a little R&R along the Gulf of Thailand.

The new suites will be spread among a new three-story villa with panoramic views not too far from the five new, intimate Pool Villas and new one- and two-bedroom Beach Villas.  Decisions, decisions!
