ESPA

Global reach, an enviable business model, a flawless reputation in the spa industry, and a range of naturally effective products – all these attributes make ESPA a truly international spa and skincare brand.

Founder Sue Harmsworth is highly lauded in the United Kingdom for her keen business acumen and knowledge of natural skincare and well-being – in 2010 she was honored by Queen Elizabeth II with an MBE for her contribution to the spa and beauty industry.  From the time she was a little girl learning the power of aromatherapy from her grandmother to her first big break in spa consultancy at the prestigious Turnberry Resort in Scotland and the formation of ESPA, Harmsworth has meticulously honed her knowledge of wellness and spa operations.

ESPA spas combine a sleek design sensibility with influence from their local culture, like the glamorously beachy thermal shower at ESPA at Acqualina in Sunny Isles, Florida.  The spiraling wall of the shower is finished with mother-of-pearl glass tiles. Powerhouse brands such as Peninsula, Four Seasons, and Ritz Carlton have all joined the ESPA chorus, as well as independent hotels like Bahia del Duque Resort in the Canary Islands.  ESPA sets the standard worldwide for therapist training programs, guaranteeing an aromatherapy massage at ESPA Riga in Latvia will be as flawless as one at the Peninsula Spa by ESPA, New York.

Since we can’t spend every day at the spa, it all really comes down to the products.  While ESPA’s signature line is far too elegant and effective to be called “earthy,” all of the 99.9% natural products only use the highest grade of essential oils and plant extracts to create glowing, ageless skin.
